My little girl and each of her three summers!

Every year we go to the lake for the 4th of July. This year though, we went to North Dakota. When we got to the lake this last weekend I took a picture of Ayla in her annual 4th of July spot. It's so funny to watch how she changes and grows from year to year.

Too much to do, not enough time

We had a fun Labor Day weekend. Darren's parents were in town and we spent alot of time with them. We also spent time with my family and Holly & Jeff.

We ate too much, watched the Husker game, went swimming at Gma and Gpa S's hotel, went to the lake, shopped, shopped some more and hung out plenty. Sadly, I don't have many pictures...it seems the busier we are, the less picures I take.

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for the airport at 4:30am. We're headed to Carolina Beach where we will be visiting family and staying in an ocean front condo!! I can't wait to get there.

I'll be sure to take lots of pics while we are enjoying the sand, sun and ocean!

Damn the rain!

I actually love rainy days. Today though, with the cool weather, I was excited to dress Ayla in one of her new little fall outfits complete with matching leg warmers and adorable little shoes. Instead I ended up with my little fashionista insisting on wearing her rainboots. While cute, they just don't make the outfit quite the way the others did!! I guess I'll save her leg warmers and cute shoes for a non-rainy, cool, fall day.

My 100th post...I need a life!

100 posts! That's crazy...and I don't even air any of our dirty laundry, haha! On Sunday afternoon D and I took Ayla to Standing Bear Lake for a picnic and nature walk. It was fun, the weather was fantastic. Boston and Gracie were along for the ride and they were in heaven! So many things for them to pee on! We found a caterpillar inching along, Ayla was amazingly brave considering she goes into hysterics at the sight of a fly!

It took a loooong time for Mr C to make his way across
