More progress in the landscaping department

Ayla's swingset has been leveled and filled in with rubber mulch....safe, and it still looks nice! They're building a mound(from dirt) at the end of the regular slide and bringing out that whole area so that the is a soft and flat surface for her to land. If you can see the green paint in the grass, that is where the flagstone trim will end. Our 2nd wall isn't quite finished because of some wet ground that the skid loader needs to be able to go up. They 're putting in the stone stairs to the right of the walls now and have just finished the flagstone patio/firepit area down below. It looks amazing.

Happy 4th of July

We had a super fun 4th. We had a mix of family/friends/neighbors and it was very nice. We ended up with enough food to feed a school and enough fireworks to do a professional display. It's nice to finally be able to host a big event and have the space to accommodate everyone. Soooo many fireworks

Oh give me a hooome

where the buffalo roam....yep, we made the trip to good ole Jamestown, North Dakota. It's always nice to see Grandpa John and Grandma Carol but for someone who hates the car(ME, not Ayla) it's just the suckiest drive ever! We have a new plan though. Half way one day and the rest the next. Only then can I tolerate 7 hours in the car. Yes, I'm fully aware that most people make much longer trips by car, it's not for me though.
The mall in Fargo, it's the only picture we ended up getting of the three of them Feeding a donkey apples and peppermint candies, the buffalo weren't readily available :)

Ayla the ballerina

Ayla has taken up dance and LOVES it. She constantly asks to go and gets very excited. This is where I see her do her best listening and tries very hard to do exactly what the teacher shows them. Practicing her tap
