Landscaping...FINALLY!!

Hip-hip-hooray!! We have our front yard landscaping mostly complete thanks to a fabulous company, Ahern Hardscapes and Garden Design. I am thrilled with the look and my neighbors are jealous ;) Two, that I hadn't even met, stopped over to talk about my lovely yard today. Okay, enough bragging....for those of you who haven't figured it out - Ahern Hardscapes and Garden Design is my little brother's up and booming business.
This morning my yard was grass, just grass. This afternoon at 3:30pm it looked like this! He's adding in a few plants when they arrive next week but I love it already. We have a birch tree, plenty of plants, shrubs and grasses and a small flowering ornamental tree. He threw in some pansies to give it some "spring color" and said he'll switch them out for petunias around July. The flowering tree is behind the birch, kinda hard to see I guess. I can't wait for it to bloom.
Our bubbler!!! It's two feet tall or so and 3-4 feet across, pretty big really. I love the sound of the water.

In 3-4 weeks when our supplies arrive, he's doing the back yard. He's adding a wall, lots of pretty shrubs & flowers and a stone patio over our concrete one. Ooo, almost forgot - a big firepit area down by the trees!

Call him if you're needing a facelift for your yard, thanks Tommy!!!!

Happy EAster!!

I've thrown together some random Eastery photos from the last several days. I still have to get some pictures of her in her church dress....she was sick today so I didn't get any good shots. Yestserday we went to Lauritzen Gardens for their Easter activities and egg hunt. It was gorgeous weather and so much fun.

Glow in the dark hunt in our front yard on Saturday night....black lighted flashlight included

Bunny tracks....looks like he came in the back door!

Found his way to the living room, and left a basket on the table

WooHoo!!!! The Easter bunny made it! Ayla received a stuffed bunny, butterfly kite, egg and bunny shaped sidewalk chalk, princess tattoos and stickers, toothpaste, chapstick(Peep flavored!), bubbles, barrettes, watercolor paints, yo-yo, jump rope, heart shaped crayons, a bunny sucker and some jelly beans!!! Wow! This was one generous Easter Bunny~!

I have to say though, what made Easter WONDERFUL this year, is that Ayla gets it. She knows that Jesus was nailed to a cross and died. She knows that on the third day, Easter, He came back and saved us all. She'll tell you all about it and how musch she loves Jesus for saving us.
Happy Easter everyone!
