Boring, but I am excited!

We finally got new bedding. I have been looking FOR-E-VER. I wanted something vibrant and fun, kid proof, dog proof and cheap. I am sick of spending an arm and a leg on bedding that I don't want the dogs or Ayla to touch. I found this set yesterday... regularly 219.99 for the comforter and shams, on sale for 94.99. It's both soothing and fun and I won't be crushed when Ayla pukes on it or the dogs get it muddy!!

I think in our new house we'll do one fun colored wall and the rest beige.

Our first week with Alivia

And it's been fun. Ayla is loving having her around. She likes to help with diapers and give her 'puck' (pacifier) when Livi needs it. This is my first attempt at getting a cute picture of them together...I'll get a good one eventually. Ayla's eyes are half closed and Alivia started crying just as I snapped the picture. She's such a sweet baby, full of smiles and coos.

She reaches for toys and loves making them rattle

Another 'great' picture of them. Ayla is giving Livi a very hairy kiss! Ayla is so sweet to her. The other day I was in the kitchen making lunch and I could hear Ayla talking to her "Show me that smile you pretty girl!" It melted my heart. She'll be a great big sister one day, God willing.

Mrs X in training

We ran to SuperTarget this morning, they have a Starbucks and it's October. This means the Pumpkin spice latte is back! I love them. So I grabbed my latte and began shopping. After awhile Darren decided he wanted a hot chocolate so he and Ayla went to get one. They came back with TWO. Ayla got a child size hot chocolate for $1. It was seriously one of the funniest things I'd ever seen, but it was almost embarassing walking around with her....leopard print top, skinny jeans, uggs, and a starbucks cup! When we got home, she went into her room to "relax on her beanbag chair" with her drink. God help us! She's not even three yet!!!

Just wondering....

Does anyone know how you might get bright pink and purple lip gloss out of a dogs eyebrows??? Or, out of a childs fair skin around their eyebrows?? Definitely let me know.....baby oil - nope, tear free shampoo - huh-uh, rubbing alcohol - no way, dish soap - nadda.

Our trip to Vala's in no particular order

Hillbilly Ayla! It was 75*, super sunny and she got hot, so at the "Pigtucky Derby" pig races I stripped her down to take her undershirt off. She lived that up for the whole 30 seconds she was shirtless.

There were bees EVERYWHERE. Caleb and I both got stung. This morning, my finger is developing a cellulitis...I'm going to have to get an antiobiotic.

Nothing says Vala's like a smoked turkey leg

Pretty bridge

Ayla on the "jump-jump" with Holly
